THE HAUNTED Frontman: 'DANI FILTH Is Entitled To Do Whatever The F.ck He Pleases'

THE HAUNTED frontman Peter Dolving has elaborated further on his scathingly negative comments about CRADLE OF FILTH which aired on a Norwegian radio station late last month. [See previous BLABBERMOUTH.NET stories: Story#1, Story#2.]

In an interview with the metal show "Pyro" on Norwegian national radio NRK P3 (web site),which aired November 29, 2005, Dolving had the following to say about CRADLE OF FILTH (translated from Swedish): "They are such whores. Everybody from the band, crew, tour-management — they are all cunts. They are my asswipe. CRADLE OF FILTH ain't worth the inside of my large intestine. They are the lowest of the scum. They are lousy musicians, they write shit music, they are swindlers. They fool their audience into buying too expensive t-shirts. They are greedy, they are losers, fucking zeroes, they are pathetic. They are a bunch of phoney fags with colored hair. That's it. Fuck them!"

In a brand-new statement posted on the band's official forum — and forwarded directly to BLABBERMOUTH.NET by the band's guitartist, Patrik Jensen — Dolving had the following to say about the entire matter:

"The craziest thing with all this though — is this — I said what I said IN JULY this summer. Walking from the stage where we had just played for 12,000 at the Roskilde festival I stopped talked with the journalist from Norsk Radio.

"Of course, I'm aware that my little comment was harsh, but you know — I'm not some fucking God who's always in complete control of what to say or when. I'm a rock and roll singer — NOT a fucking politician. In other words, I'm just like any of you dudes — and NO, I don't think all my actions through.

"As far as [CRADLE OF FILTH] goes — I don't even give a fuck — Dani is entitled to do whatever the fuck he pleases. Honestly, even though I don't much like it — I would stand up and defend and even bleed for his right to do it, and be whoever the fuck he pleases. My view of his art is MINE and his stage person IS his art — it's not like my single comment changes wether CRADLE OF FILTH are a good band or not. If you like it you like it, if you don't you don't. So fucking what!?

"So as far as all those dudes out there who are sending angry letters and commenting on Blabbermouth — good for you! But you know what? Me and Dani Filth will still be out here making music ten years from now — and no one will give a shit about a comment dropped by some adrenaline-pumped sweaty guy who just stepped off stage.

"Fuck it, I said what I said. That doesn't mean I'm right or wrong all it means is that I said it.

"As far as I'm concerned — no matter what pops out of my twisted little mind — I'm entitled to be wrong or say fucked-up things — and as far as CRADLE OF FILTH goes — with their image — an asshole like me saying something like that should only be in their liking — right? They are a black metal band so fuck off and rock on, brothers and sisters."
